Overview.
This project is a promotional motion graphic piece for 'Imagine RIT', a campus-wide Creativity and Innovation Festival. This event showcases the creative and innovative spirit of RIT students, faculty, and staff.
Concept.
To convey the event's theme, I aimed to encapsulate the distinctive features of the school into unique textures, reimagined in 3D graphics. Additionally, I explored the use of perspective and parallax to reassemble the event's logo using abstract geometric shapes.
Results.
Video games, art, and technology are characteristic features of the school, symbolized by the joystick, color palette, and computer, respectively, in my design. Additionally, the light bulb represents inspiration and an innovative spirit, while the textures of terrazzo and wood signify art. In contrast, the attributes of glass and luminescent materials denote technology. The fusion of the three letters, RIT, embodies the intersection of art and technology.
