Case Study

Black Box

Black Box

Overview.

This project encompasses the creation of a promotional motion graphic for Black Box, a PC software that enhances the gaming experience by offering in-game operation statistics, online matchmaking, and discussion platforms. Black Box captures and analyzes players' in-game statistics, subsequently providing valuable feedback and suggestions post-game.

Concept.

In line with the gaming-centric theme, the design embraces a technology-inspired style. To accentuate the software's key features in the animation - capturing highlight gameplay actions, analyzing operational data, and offering improvement advice, I strategically employed geometric shapes to abstractly and succinctly depict these functions.

Results.

During the design and illustration process, I endeavored to emulate the style of in-game control panels and game UI. This approach helped to forge a visual link to the gaming world. In addition, to complement the overall visual style, I designed the logo for the software.
